The FITUR 2023 International Tourism Trade Fair was held in Madrid from January 18 to 22 at the IFEMA fairgrounds.
Puerto Real, had an exhibition area in the stand of the Provincial Tourism Board of Cadiz, where during those days a technician from the Tourist Office of Puerto Real, attended to professionals and the general public interested in our area for the upcoming summer season.
Various promotional materials were distributed, such as maps, restaurant and bar guides, gastronomic recipe booklets, as well as all the information provided by local hotels and tourism companies. and a variety of merchandising was also distributed.
On Thursday 19 Province Day, our city presented the new video “Puerto Real Light and Salt” and a preview of the events to be held next summer to commemorate the bicentennial of the Battle of the Trocadero, an act that made the mayor Elena Amaya Leon, accompanied by Councillor for Tourism Pedro Olmedo Gomez.
The stand of the Patronato was very crowded during all the days of the fair, predicting a good season for the province of Cadiz in the coming months and during the summer and autumn.
Several Puerto Rican businessmen attended the fair, among others: Gran Hotel Ciudad del Sur and Hotel Catalán, El Molinero and Alojamiento Rural Cortijo de Guerra.
The stand of the Provincial Board was attended by the President of the Government, Pedro Sanchez, who spent a few moments with the mayoress of Puerto Real, who gave him some souvenirs of the city and invited him to visit us in 2023.
